“Rona” is a classic-type thoroughbred with a kind eye and gentle disposition. She came to Akindale in October 2023 in desperate need of some time to herself. Rona has settled quite a bit since arriving at our training barn but she can still be a bit nervous. Rona enjoys a slow introduction to new things. She’s worth it, we promise!

We have taken all of harsh winter days to get to know Rona and we think she felt the same with us. Rona will need to work with someone who she trusts will be patient with her. It has been lovely watching her open up over the past few months. She has a sweet little nicker that greets you when you walk into the barn! Rona will make a lovely partner for the right person.
