ABOUT: Cliff Diver was bred right here at Akindale but never went on to have a racing career. Instead, he found his calling away from the racetrack and was adopted into a home where he spent many years as part of a riding school program.

During his time as a school horse, Cliff helped teach countless riders, from young children just learning the basics to adults developing their skills in the saddle. He became the kind of dependable horse who could help riders learn, build confidence, and enjoy their time at the barn.

In 2022, Cliff was transferred to another owner, where he continued his life as a riding horse for the next couple of years. As he got older, however, he began to require additional maintenance to comfortably continue working under saddle. His owner ultimately made the decision to retire him and return him home to Akindale.

After spending so many years taking care of his riders, it is now our turn to take care of Cliff. Today, he enjoys a well earned retirement in our sanctuary, back at the farm where his story first began.
