FREQUENTLY ASKED QUETIONS
Do you have adoptable horses?
The majority of our adoptable horses are companion horses seeking loving, non-riding homes. Occasionally, we have horses with riding potential available for adoption. These horses are not currently in work and will require a knowledgeable owner committed to bringing them back into training. Every adoption is carefully matched to ensure the best possible outcome for both horse and adopter. Please contact us for more information about our available horses and adoption process.
How do I adopt?
To begin the adoption process, you will need to complete our adoption application. Please contact us to start the process and learn more about our available horses.
I want to return a horse I’ve adopted from Akindale?
At Akindale, we offer a safe and caring place for all horses in our program. If you are thinking about returning a horse, please consider it only as a last option. Each horse returned means we can help fewer horses at Akindale. For more information and to discuss what to do next, please contact us directly.
