Experience the beauty of Akindale with a guided tour of our 300-acre sanctuary, home to nearly 100 retired Thoroughbreds. During your visit, you'll meet our sanctuary herds, learn each horse's unique story, and discover how we provide lifelong care for these incredible athletes after their racing careers.

Whether you're a lifelong horse lover or simply curious about our mission, our tours offer a behind the scenes look at the daily operations of one of the nation's leading Thoroughbred sanctuaries.

Tours are by appointment only. To ensure every guest has the best possible experience, we ask that all visits be scheduled in advance.

Tour Availability

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Weekends: Available by request, based on staff availability

We suggest a $25 donation per person to help support the sanctuary, cover the time spent leading your tour, and provide horse cookies so you can treat some of our retired Thoroughbreds during your visit. Every donation goes directly toward the care of our horses and helps us continue our mission.
