ABOUT: Siena came to us in 2022, where he completed rehabilitation and was thoughtfully restarted under saddle.

After his initial training, Siena enjoyed several years off due to circumstances unrelated to him, as we did not have a trainer available to keep him in consistent work. Prior to his time off, he was going well at the walk, trot, and canter on the bit and had experience being ridden both English and Western. He is a confident, sensible horse with a "more whoa than go" personality.

Siena is currently back in work and progressing nicely. He is once again working comfortably at the walk, trot, and canter on the bit with a willing attitude and has proven to be a very enjoyable ride. He stands quietly on the cross ties, is excellent for grooming and bathing, lunges well, and is also comfortable working in a Pessoa training system.

Siena is a sweet horse, but will make faces. He is happiest living outdoors and currently spends most of his time in a pasture, coming into a stall for only a few hours each day.

We believe Siena would be best suited for a flatwork or dressage home, or for someone looking for a dependable partner to enjoy both in and out of the ring. Due to his history, we do not recommend him for a jumping career. Depending on the intensity of his future workload, he may benefit from knee injections, although he is currently working comfortably and has not required them.

After spending several years barefoot, Siena recently returned to wearing front shoes as he came back into work. He has been shod twice and is doing well, though his feet will continue to improve with time, proper hoof care, and regular farrier maintenance.

Siena is a kind, honest Thoroughbred looking for a knowledgeable home where he can continue to thrive. He will make a wonderful partner for someone seeking an enjoyable horse to build a lasting relationship with both in and out of the saddle.
