ABOUT: Dromoland came to us in January 2023 from Take the Lead as he was retiring from racing. From the moment he arrived, we fell in love with his personality. He immediately showed great promise and seemed like he could excel in whatever direction his new career took him.

Dromoland was adopted fairly quickly after arriving and was doing well under saddle, happily working at the walk, trot, and canter and beginning to jump small fences. Unfortunately, things deteriorated over time, and he was eventually diagnosed with kissing spine. He returned to us in November 2024, where we gave him some time off.

This year, we carefully started bringing Dromoland back into work. He did not appear to be experiencing any soreness or discomfort in his back, but during this time it also became clear that he would need a professional to bring him back into work. With the right person and the right approach, we believe he could be a wonderful partner.

For now, Dromoland is happily enjoying life out in the herd and this may be where he is happiest. He is almost always one of the first, if not the first, to greet you. He loves people, follows you around the field, and genuinely seems to think his job is to be your personal shadow. He is an incredibly sweet, personable guy who truly just wants to be your pet.
