ABOUT: Meet El Bombaso

El Bombaso is a Canadian-bred Thoroughbred who came to Akindale in 2020, and from the very beginning, he was an absolute pleasure to have around. As a three-year-old, he was quiet, willing, and incredibly easy to work with. With his cute movement, natural jump, and wonderful demeanor, he seemed to be the total package.

El Bombaso was adopted and doing very well in his new home when he unfortunately developed an abscess in his right front foot that became infected. The injury required significant time off to allow his foot to heal and regrow, and he eventually returned to Akindale.

He was later adopted again as a dressage prospect, but his adopter ultimately felt he would be better suited to a different discipline, and El Bombaso returned to us once more.

Through no fault of his own, El Bombaso has spent quite a bit of time simply enjoying life in the herd due to not having a trainer available to keep him in consistent work. While he certainly doesn't seem to mind his time off, we think he is far too nice of a horse to be sitting in a field without a job!

With his quiet nature, good movement, and natural jump, we believe El Bombaso could make a lovely hunter prospect. We think he would be best suited for a capable adult amateur working in a consistent training program who can take the time to bring him back into work and develop his potential.
