ABOUT: Affectionately known as Mouse, Fake Muse came to us in 2021 from Beyond the Wire, and he quickly became one of those horses who is impossible to forget. While he may technically be a Thoroughbred, you could easily be forgiven for thinking he has some Quarter Horse somewhere in his family tree! His stocky build and laid-back personality give him a look and presence all his own.

Mouse is quite the character. His favorite way to entertain himself is by using his mouth. He will grab just about anything he can reach! Whether it's a bucket, a lead rope, a piece of equipment, or something he has discovered in the field, Mouse is always looking for something to investigate. He is endlessly entertaining and has definitely earned his reputation as the farm's resident grab-and-go expert.

Mouse does have arthritis in his right front knee, which limits what he can comfortably do. Because of this, he is not suited for strenuous work and would only be appropriate as a light trail horse, provided he remains comfortable and his care team feels that riding is appropriate.

These days, Mouse seems happiest simply being outside. He enjoys life in the herd and appears perfectly content spending his days grazing, wandering around, and looking for his next opportunity to get his mouth on something.

Mouse may not be looking for a busy second career, but he has certainly found his niche. He is a quirky, lovable character who seems happiest living life at his own pace.
