ABOUT: Feather Nestin' is one of the prettiest mares we have at Akindale and one of Miguel's favorites!

This beautiful mare is by Saint Liam, out of Prairie Princess by Rocky Mountain. Her dam was a Grade 3 winner, and Feather Nestin' herself was a $67,000 yearling purchase before beginning her racing career. She raced twice before retiring from the track.

Feather Nestin' was actually born here at Akindale and later came back to Akindale to retire. She became part of our broodmare program and gave us a foal before settling into her life as one of our sanctuary mares.

Today, Feather Nestin' enjoys a quiet life in the sanctuary with her herd. She is one of those mares who always catches your eye when you see her out in the fields, and she has certainly earned her special place here at Akindale.
