ABOUT: Kubalas Keepsake, born in 2000, is one of our beloved senior mares here at Akindale. With her sweet personality and gentle nature, she is the kind of horse that is impossible not to love.

Now well into her golden years, Kubalas Keepsake enjoys the simple pleasures of sanctuary life. Whether she's spending time with her herd, grazing in the fields, or enjoying a little extra attention, she is perfectly content with the slower pace of retirement.

There is something especially rewarding about caring for our older Thoroughbreds. They have given so much throughout their lives, and now it's our turn to give back. For Kubalas Keepsake, that means having a safe, comfortable place to grow old, surrounded by familiar friends and people who care for her.

As one of our senior residents, she is a wonderful reminder of why lifelong sanctuary is so important. No matter their age or circumstances, every horse deserves to feel safe, loved, and cared for.
