ABOUT: Little Tigress came to Akindale in 2006 after being found at an auction, where her story could have taken a very different turn. Thankfully, she found her way to us and has called Akindale home ever since.

According to her early records, Little Tigress retired sound from racing and was ridden Western at the walk, trot, and canter. While we're not entirely sure why she was never adopted into a second career, we're certainly happy she's still here with us!

Over the years, Little Tigress has settled into sanctuary life and developed a personality all her own. She's known for being a little difficult to catch in the field, preferring to keep everyone on their toes when it's time to come in. But that's just part of her charm!

Nearly two decades after arriving at Akindale, Little Tigress continues to enjoy the comfort and security of a permanent home. Her story is a reminder that not every retired racehorse finds a second career, but every horse deserves a safe place to call home.
