ABOUT: Meadow Mine has had quite the journey over the years, but somehow, his story always seems to lead him back to Akindale.

Meadow Mine was adopted from Akindale in 2008 and later sold to another owner in 2012. During his time away, he was successfully competing in the show ring and appeared to be thriving in his second career. From everything we could see, he was doing wonderfully, which made his return to Akindale in 2014 somewhat unexpected.

To this day, we aren't entirely sure what led to Meadow Mine coming back, especially since he seemed to be doing so well. Regardless of the circumstances, we were happy to welcome him home.

Today, Meadow Mine enjoys life in our sanctuary, where he has a permanent place to call home. His story is a reminder of why our commitment to these horses doesn't end when they leave our care. No matter where life takes them, they will always have a place at Akindale.
