ABOUT: Despite his intimidating name, Milton the Monster, affectionately known as Marvin, is anything but a monster!

Throughout his career, he earned multiple victories and even competed in stakes company. One of his most impressive performances came in January 2022 at Parx Racing, where he won by an incredible 12¾ lengths. By May 2023, Marvin had earned over $316,000 on the racetrack.

Following his racing career, Marvin was retired through Take the Lead and transitioned to ReRun, where he was evaluated for a potential second career. After spending time with him, the team at ReRun determined that he would be best suited for retirement rather than pursuing a riding career. In the spring of 2025, Marvin made his way to Akindale to join our sanctuary and enjoy a well deserved retirement.

Despite his name, Marvin is one of the friendliest horses you could ever meet. He absolutely loves attention and wants nothing more than to be everyone's friend. Whether you're visiting his field or simply passing by, Marvin is always happy to make a new acquaintance.

Today, Marvin is enjoying life in our sanctuary, surrounded by friends and receiving all the care and attention he deserves. After giving so much during his racing career, we are happy to provide him with a permanent home where he can simply enjoy being a horse.
