ABOUT: Proven Prince's journey to Akindale is one that reminds us why lifelong care and responsible aftercare are so important.

Proven Prince was originally rescued in 2007, although unfortunately, we have very little information about the circumstances surrounding his rescue. Following his rescue, he was placed at a satellite farm in Virginia, where he spent many years under the care of others.

In 2020, concerns arose about the quality of care Proven Prince was receiving at the Virginia facility. Wanting to ensure he was receiving the attention and care he deserved, we made the decision to bring him home to Akindale in New York, where we could oversee his well being firsthand.

Since returning to Akindale, Proven Prince has become a permanent member of our sanctuary. Here, he can enjoy the freedom of living outdoors, the companionship of his herd, and the security of knowing he will always have a place to call home.

While much of Proven Prince's early history remains unknown, one thing is certain: his future is secure. His story is a reminder that rescue doesn't end when a horse is removed from a difficult situation. It is a lifelong commitment to ensuring that every horse receives the care, respect, and dignity they deserve.
