RACING STATS: Did not race

SEX: Mare

HEIGHT: 16 hh

ABOUT: Russian Classic's story began right here at Akindale, where she was born and later became one of our broodmares. Over the years, she welcomed several foals, including Smart Russian, who I had the pleasure of adopting out myself! You can even spot Smart Russian in her photo gallery.

Now enjoying her well-deserved retirement in our sanctuary, Russian Classic has certainly mellowed with age. For years, she was notoriously one of the most difficult horses on the farm to catch! She always seemed to know exactly when we needed her and made sure we got our exercise trying to convince her to cooperate.

These days, she's become much friendlier and more willing to spend time with us. It's been wonderful watching her personality soften as she's gotten older.

From being born at Akindale to raising the next generation and now enjoying her golden years, Russian Classic has spent her entire life calling this farm home. We're happy to continue giving her the peaceful retirement she deserves.
