ABOUT: Starr West might just be one of the prettiest horses on the farm! With his rich chestnut coat, gorgeous forelock, and striking good looks, he is certainly hard to miss.

Starr West came to Akindale in 2012 following his racing career and has been a familiar face around the farm ever since. Over the years, he has become a staple of our sanctuary and one of the many horses who make Akindale so special.

These days, Starr West spends his time enjoying the peaceful life of retirement alongside his best friend, Wayward Son. The two are often found together, enjoying their days out in the fields.

After more than a decade at Akindale, Starr West is a wonderful example of what lifelong sanctuary means. He has a permanent home, plenty of room to roam, and his best friend by his side. What more could a horse ask for?
