ABOUT: Travellin’ Along's story began right here at Akindale, where she was born and raised before beginning her racing career. After her time on the track came to an end, she transitioned into a new chapter as a broodmare at Akindale.

For many years, Travellin’ Along was part of Akindale's breeding program, helping raise the next generation of Thoroughbreds. She spent much of her life here on the farm, making her one of the many horses who have been part of Akindale's history for decades.

Today, Travellin Along is enjoying her well deserved retirement in our sanctuary. After a lifetime that included racing and raising foals, she has earned the opportunity to spend her days relaxing in the fields with her herd.

Horses like Travellin’ Along are a special part of Akindale's history. From being born here to becoming a broodmare and eventually retiring into our sanctuary, she represents the generations of Thoroughbreds who have called this farm home.
