ABOUT: Tre Bon Pro, better known as Dia, has a long history with Akindale because it's where her story began! Born and raised right here on the farm, Dia went on to have a life beyond Akindale, finding homes through our adoption program and enjoying a second career as a lower-level eventing horse.

Throughout the years, Dia was adopted a couple of times and proved herself to be a capable partner under saddle. She spent time enjoying life as a riding horse before eventually making her way back to the place where it all started.

At the end of 2015, Dia was returned to Akindale when her owners were moving out of the area and could no longer keep her. Thankfully, she had a familiar place to come home to, and she has remained with us ever since.

Today, Dia is happily retired in our sanctuary, enjoying her days out in the fields with her herd. She is easy to pick out among her friends thanks to the beautiful white stripe running down her face, which makes her stand out in a crowd!

Having been born here, adopted into new homes, and eventually returned for retirement, Dia's story is a wonderful example of our lifelong commitment to the horses who pass through Akindale.
