ABOUT: What a Dilemma came to Akindale in 2014 following the passing of his owner. Before her passing, she had thoughtfully made arrangements to ensure that all of her horses would have a safe place to spend the rest of their lives at Akindale.

Thanks to her planning and dedication to her horses, What a Dilemma was able to transition into our sanctuary, where he would always have a permanent home.

What a Dilemma has now been part of the Akindale herd for over a decade. While we don't have many details about his earlier years, we do know that his owner cared deeply about what would happen to her horses when she was no longer able to care for them.

Today, What a Dilemma continues to enjoy life in our sanctuary, surrounded by other retired Thoroughbreds. His story is a wonderful reminder of the importance of planning for a horse's future and the peace of mind that comes with knowing they will always be cared for.
