ABOUT: Wild N Lovely Lady came to Akindale in 2019 as part of a neglect case involving several other horses. After experiencing a difficult chapter in her life, she was given the opportunity to settle into our sanctuary, where she would receive the care and stability she deserved.

Her name really couldn't be more fitting! She's certainly got the wild part down, and while we're sure she's lovely, she prefers to admire people from a distance rather than let them get close enough to find out!

Wild N Lovely Lady has always been a bit more reserved when it comes to people. While some of our horses are the first to come running for attention, she would much rather keep her distance and spend time with her fellow mares. She's perfectly content enjoying life on her own terms, and that's just fine with us!

One of the wonderful things about sanctuary life is that every horse gets to be an individual. Not every horse wants constant attention or interaction, and Wild N Lovely Lady is a perfect example of that. She enjoys the companionship of her herd and the freedom to simply be a horse.

Today, Wild N Lovely Lady continues to enjoy her retirement surrounded by her friends, with plenty of room to roam and no expectations beyond being happy and healthy. After everything she has been through, we're glad she has a place where she can feel safe and live life exactly how she chooses.
